Zenith Time Command 1975 Vintage Quartz Watch
Zenith Time Command, one of the truly remarkable 1970s quartz watches. This is one of the first analogue digital quartz watches. It was among the most advanced watches of its time, with the quartz technology supplied by Zenith Radio Company, later known as Zenith-Movado-Mondia, from 1972 to 1978.
Unlike almost all other quartz watches, the Zenith Time Command features minute hands that point directly at the current minute. The small LED display shows the seconds when you press the button on the right side of the case, or the date (AM or PM) using the upper button. The watch uses a very unusual long hand that makes reading the time intuitive.
The watch also features electronically controlled rapid adjustment of the time display for quickly changing time zones without losing accuracy. According to the manual, the watch has a “synchronisation mode” in which all hands can be aligned to display the time precisely according to the radio-controlled time signal. The watch is in very good vintage condition, with only light patina on the gold-plated case. Comes with the original box. Check out similar products.
