Boomerang 2000
The FASE Boomerang 2000 is a model produced by FASE from the late 1960s until 1979. This iconic desk lamp, developed in Madrid under the Franco regime, was designed and manufactured in Spain. The FASE Boomerang 2000 features an enamelled aluminium base, a chrome-plated lamp head and a frosted glass diffuser.
The lamp head accommodates two bulbs. Everything about this iconic lamp is original and fully functional. It is in very good condition and shows only a few signs of use. See similar products in our shop.

A bit of history:
The Fase company was founded in 1964 by self-taught entrepreneur Pedro Martin and designer Luis Pérez de la Oliva, although some sources date its founding to 1966. The Boomerang lamp was one of their earliest designs.
nitially, Fase sold its self-produced lamps at markets in and around Madrid, before successfully opening a factory in Torrejón de Ardoz, on the outskirts of the city. The company primarily produced lamps, but also ashtrays and other products such as desk accessories and paperweights.
Fase supplied many lamps to the offices of General Franco’s dictatorial government and the Guardia Civil, a paramilitary police force. From 1975, following Franco’s death and the end of his regime, Fase began producing designs influenced by Italian Modernism and the Bauhaus. The Spanish public was relatively unfamiliar with this style of design as a result of the Franco regime, which had kept the country isolated and allowed little foreign influence.
